There may be a number of reasons behind presenting your gifts, though we might have never even rationalized it. Tradition may be the first reason behind gift giving. Usually we present these gifts during various occasions and festivals such as mother’s day, father‘s or on a valentine. And since we were created in the image of God, we always tend to possess this generosity and desire to present our near and dear ones with a gift. We tend to gift others in the same way as God gifted us, or it’s another way of showing our love and gratitude to the ones we are fond of.

You can also compare their charges and then see which one would suit your needs and budget, after all you can’t borrow their skills but can surely practice it and develop yours too.
